Introduction
Collyer Bristow LLP is a UK firm of solicitors with over 30 partners and about 140 staff. We have been around for over 250 years; fortunately things have changed somewhat since the days of quill pens. So have we.
Our Geneva office works closely with leading Swiss law firms and other professionals and we provide clients with an easy and established route to these services.
We were the first English law firm to open an office in Switzerland and we established it to meet the growing needs of our clients in the area for English law services. The office, managed by partner Oliver Drennan draws on the expertise of our London based lawyers in each of the firm's core practice areas and specialisations. The primary work of the office is corporate and commercial and private client and private wealth management. We have French speakers in each department and can also conduct business in German, Italian and Portuguese.
In the corporate and commercial areas, there is particular activity in the field of joint ventures and alliances, outsourcing and major commercial contracts. Clients include those within the energy sector and we handle the legal aspects of distribution, refinery operations and logistic matters.
Geneva being a centre for wealth management, we advise on a wide range of wealth management issues including advising trustees and beneficiaries in relation to corporate structures and transactions which arise in a private wealth management context.
